Montague

Montague has been a part of California history dating back to the turbulent times of the gold rush, statehood, and the breakout of the U.S. Civil War. The company has resided in the San Francisco Bay Area for well over 150 years and while evolving as a business, arising out of the Great Depression of the 1930’s through three generations of ownership and management by the Whalen Family, has a proud tradition of pride and passion for producing the finest quality products in the foodservice industry.

All Montague products are designed, engineered, and manufactured in our facility located in Hayward, California, USA. Due to the decline in the US manufacturing base not all materials required to make our products are available in the United States and by default must be sourced overseas. This percentage remains relatively minimal as we strive to maintain control of quality, delivery and cost of materials. Montague products meet the US government standard for product labeling “Made in the U.S.A” exceeding the threshold requirement of 75% with total cost of product ranging between 80 to 85%. As a third generation American business owner, I believe in the American spirit of innovation, capitalism, and free enterprise, and proud to say Montague products are “Made in the U.S.A”.
